PARAGLACIAL/GEOMORPHIC 2013

Paraglacial is a term relating to 'unstable conditions' deriving from glacial climates.  From these unstable conditions geomorphic forms begin to change the landscape of our Earth.

This mini series has derived from photographing various landscapes (some not glacial related) around the world.  Places include Iceland, North Wales, Greece and the Balearic Islands.  Often barren and austere in appearance the original landscape is altered to produce a mirroring of itself but with subtle changes.  On the lighter side of the image the over laying of grids denotes map referencing, location and a disappearing land, whilst the darker and negative side gives way to a foreboding almost alien landscape.
