View from Black Rocks - Pauline Woolley 2014 |
A new year brings lots of research for me. A year of experimentation and information gathering. At the moment I am looking for high vista local locations and on a recent stay in Wirksworth, Black Rocks is looking like it has potential. This is strengthened by being so close to the quarries which has added interest for me since the Boulby experience in 2012.
Black Rocks is a natural gritstone outcrop that has been used for rock climbing since the 1890's. The rocks stand in between Cromford and Wirksworth.
