Pip Dickens studied in the year above me at Leeds Metropolitan University in the 90's. While studying she was awarded an art travel award to Iceland. Seeing her response to this trip in paint started to fuel my own fascination with the country.
I am a great admirer of her work and consider her to be one of best contemporary painters in the country. I very much recommend seeing her work in the flesh.
